Our Roots Run Deep in the Dump Trailer World

For 26 years, I engineered aluminum and steel trailers, helping build a little trailer manufacturer into a well-established, industry-leader.  I designed complex trailers to serve specific customer needs that included payloads such as: aggregate, dirt, refuse, recycling, rendering, bio-solids, agriculture products, and much, much more. I was responsible for the engineering, design, drafting, raw material procurement, jigs and fixtures, as well as the production and delivery of the trailers.  I accumulated multiple U.S. patents for creative and novel trailer designs over the years.  It was truly fun and rewarding work in those early years.  However, the complexity of the product line meant costly flexibility (and overhead dollars) had to be built into the mature company to support the vast product line.  When that company was acquired by a publicly held corporation, the business became more bogged down, convoluted, and complex with corporate oversight and wasteful meetings.  As a result, that old company could no longer efficiently build a simple dump trailer to offer the market at a reasonable price.  As the old saying goes - See A Need, Fill A Need!
So, I started Discount Dumps.  I began with a clean sheet of paper.  I had total freedom, and decades of knowledge to build a dump trailer that is simple to build, profitable for you to operate, and be dependable for years to come.  We scrutinized every part of the trailer to justify its need, form, and function.  At Discount Dumps, you get a well-built trailer at a reasonable price without sacrificing features, durability, or functionality.

Built by True Craftsmen
Our trailer craftsmen are seasoned trailer builders.  They have years of trailer building experience.  Our team was hand-picked from the best in the industry.  They work closely together holding other team members accountable to a high level of
commitment and workmanship.  Each man is specially cross-trained so he can build each and every part of the trailer.  The team excels while checking each other's work for quality and completeness.  They take pride in their work.  When a trailer is complete, the team personally signs the trailer - just like proud craftsmen should!

Built Right - Every Time
Our trailer production line has been engineered for simplicity.  Every part of our trailer is built in a jig or fixture.  Our team NEVER uses a tape measure to build your trailer.  We leverage our supplier's technologies to provide finished parts for simple and easy assembly.  Our production planning means that we build reliable trailers efficiently, consistently, and correctly - every time.  You can be assured that your next trailer will be identical to the last one you purchased from us.  We do this one thing - and do it better than anyone else.  We only use the best available components to build our trailers. Our design choices for every detail reflect our commitment to build you a trailer that will last for years, haul the most payload, and make you money.

Money Matters
We build our trailer with no wasted materials.  It takes a highly experienced trailer engineer to design a lighter trailer that is still durable.  Less trailer weight means
more payload inside the trailer box - which is what you get paid for!
If you gross 80,000 lbs and your present trailer weighs 11,000 lbs, then you probably haul about 26 tons of payload.  Our trailer weighs 8,740 lbs (even on steel wheels).  The ONE TON that our trailer saves you will earn you approximately $8,000 more per year in profits!  Do the math.  If you have more than one dump trailer, then the profits are multiplied by the number of trailers you own.  Our lighter trailer will pay for itself in about five years.  We do not believe in adding extra weight OR cost to the trailer that will not make you more profitable.  This is one of the reasons we do not use polished sheet.  Bare aluminum will oxidize quickly.  Polish is pretty in a showroom, but not needed on the daily haul to make you money.

Trailer Availability
We know that jobs and contracts often have short lead times for the work to begin.  Waiting months for a trailer from other companies is just not acceptable.  We try to operate at the pace of business that today's world demands.  We normally keep trailers in stock for immediate delivery.  So, not only do we beat others at price and weight, we also beat them on delivery as well.  We respect your work schedule and want to do everything we can to get you on the job and making money!

I promise to give you a quality aluminum end dump trailer - at a price you can afford.

Sincerely,
